Saltnes is a village in the municipality of Råde, Norway. Its population in 2008 was 2,132, of which 84 people live within the border of the neighboring municipality, Fredrikstad.
Saltnes has grown from around 50 to almost 2000 inhabitants in only 36 years. Saltnes is becoming increasingly popular destination for vacations. Råde municipality has stated that the population raises by about 500-1000 inhabitants during the summer vacation season because of all the summer cabins that are in the location.[citation needed]
The etymology of the name derives from harvesting of salt in the area several hundred years ago.

Thank you for visiting my place on the Internet! I am a web developer living in Jamestown , North Dakota together with my wife Brenda, our daughter Eden, and our dog Molly. I grew up in Saltnes a small village in Norway.

In the fall of 2001 I left my hometown in Norway for studies in Rapid City, South Dakota. I graduated with a Master of Science degree in Computer Science in 2003, and in 2006 I graduated again this time with a Master of Science degree in Technology Management. One week after my graduation, May 20, 2006, Brenda and I got married. In September 2006 Brenda got Molly, and English bulldog as birthday gift.

In January of 2007 we moved from Rapid City to Valley City, North Dakota. In Valley City I worked for Eagle Creek Software service. A software company specializing in implement, and upgrading Siebel CRM solutions for Fortune 500 companies. I worked as Software Consultant on world class projects for companies such as Blue Cross Blue Shield, Shire Pharmasuitical, 3Com, Country Financial , BMW, Iowa Telecom, Travelers, and Nesle Waters.

In July of 2007 we moved to Jamestown, North Dakota. It was a bigger town than Valley City, with about twice the population of Valley City and a lot more to offer. I continued to work in Valley City, a 30 minute Interstate commute. In July 2009 I started working for Agri-Cover, Inc. as a Web Developer. Agri-Cover, Inc. is a manufacturer of Truck Bed Covers, Snow Plows, Tarps for Semis, and Market-Leading Accessories for Pick Ups. They are located here in Jamestown.

On Knut-Edvart.com you will bunch of useful stuff. Check out my tutorials, and my tips and advice on coding, programming and web design. If you are one of my friends or family, and I have given you a password, then you will also be allowed to log into my photo gallery. I also recommend you to check out my other websites DakotaSearch and GreatWebGames. They are both designed and created by Knut-Edvart Ellingsen.
